Amelia,
I enjoyed our drink the other night. I don't get out much.
It was nice. I wanted to say in writing what I found it too difficult to say to your face. I found you captivating. I've never really thought of myself as one incomplete without the love of another.
It's a point of pride for me so perhaps that's why I couldn't tell you of my swelling feelings in person. Regardless, I've never felt the need to be with another person for leisure or pleasure… or love.
This is a new feeling for me, and one I thought I would share with you. It felt dishonest to keep from you.
I'm overwhelmed. Your eyes will not leave my mind and the touch of your fingers remain on mine.
I am not expecting to hear back from you. I've certainly shared too much for that. I'm sure that if such a raw and bold pronouncement were made to me, I would be affronted. If you feel nothing of the same, perhaps you would at least tell me if you've ever had similar feelings and advise what I can do to rid myself of them. For a friend.
I realize that my request is an unmistakable attempt to keep lines of communication open with you. I may be shrewd, but I am honest.
Helpless,
Cordula
