The team has grown so close. I would die for any of them. Even Jeremiah, who was a little stuck up in the beginning, has become so down to earth and kind.

We've been working on codenames for each other.

Jeremiah says it's from the top.

We need to stop using each other's real names. Dalia wanted to be Viper. She's so fast and fierce none of us argued it. Jeremiah is Devil Whale? He says it was a scary monster in his folklore that parents used to scare children to sleep. We laughed, but he insisted.

I suggested the name Bunda for Hannah because she's got a nice ass, but she said it wouldn't be taken seriously. She chose to be Rose. Jacques wanted to be l'art du feu. Which I think means the art of fire or something like that. We settled on l'incendie.

That left me. I wanted to be Harmony. They all know about my powers (they think I'm an Evo) and I thought that spoke to it pretty well.

But they said it wasn't bad ass enough. Jacques said that his deep state team in France used to give the title 'The King' to the person who had the most kills on the team. We've been on a lot of missions together now and I have the most kills by far.

But The King didn't feel right. Jeremiah suggested The Queen. That didn't feel quite right either.

We settled on The Monarch. I like it.
